On August 26, 2024, in Abidjan, KUYO PIPELINE, a major player in the industrial construction and maintenance sector, signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Technical Education, Vocational Training and Apprenticeship (METFPA). The agreement, which was signed in the presence of Mrs Vanessa KUYO, Managing Director of KUYO PIPELINE, and Mr N’Guessan KOFFI, Minister of METFPA, aims to strengthen the professional integration of young graduates from vocational high schools in Côte d’Ivoire.

This agreement is part of a vision shared by both institutions: to provide young Ivorians with the tools they need to succeed in the world of work. KUYO PIPELINE is committed to offering concrete opportunities, including internships, technical training and structured coaching. These initiatives will enable young people to acquire the practical skills they need to move forward in the industrial sector.

Mrs. Vanessa KUYO underlined the importance of this partnership for the future of Ivorian industry: “This partnership reflects our commitment to training a new generation of skilled professionals, essential for the development of our country. We are determined to work closely with METFPA to offer real opportunities to young people and thus contribute to Côte d’Ivoire’s economic growth.”

For his part, Mr. N’Guessan KOFFI stressed the need to rethink technical education to meet market needs. He highlighted the crucial role played by companies like KUYO PIPELINE in this process. “This collaboration fits perfectly with our vision of training a skilled local workforce capable of supporting our nation’s socio-economic development.”

The event was also honored by the presence of Mr. David ANGUI, Director of Cabinet of the Minister of Technical and Vocational Education of the Congo. His participation underscores the importance of this partnership not only for Côte d’Ivoire, but for the entire African continent.

This agreement should enable several hundred young people to be integrated into key construction and industrial maintenance trades over the next few years, helping to reduce unemployment and strengthen local skills.
